When a trader arrives with only a laptop, the session starts with export and print anyway. We learned early that scrolling zoom levels mid-conversation breaks the filter sequence. A fixed print locks the timeframe and keeps everyone's eyes on the same pivot.
What to send 48 hours ahead
Export daily and four-hour views for each candidate. Mark these before sending:
- Proposed entry zone (shaded box, not a single line)
- Stop below structural invalidation
- Target or partial exit level
- Higher-timeframe trend arrow in the margin
We print in A3 when structure is tight; otherwise A4 is fine. Colour is optional — greyscale saves toner and reads fine for candle bodies.
During the desk review
The reviewer marks filter pass/fail in red and green pencil directly on your print. Digital overlays stay on the wall monitor for zooming into volume bars, but the written vote lives on paper you take home.
Traders who pre-mark spend the first ten minutes on filters, not on explaining what they meant by a dotted line. That time adds up across five setups.
After the session
Clip the annotated prints into your session folder. When a similar base appears months later, the margin notes remind you which filter failed last time — often volume, sometimes trend conflict on the weekly.
If you prefer digital archiving, photograph the prints under daylight rather than fluorescent office light; wicks wash out under warm bulbs.
